Last chapter: Hussein Chalayan

1. Hussein Chalayan Spring/Summer 2012
2. Ann Demeulemeester Store Seoul
3. Cabinet 1700-1720

It almost felt like a 'best of' collection. The greatest hits of a designer who removed himself from the label he built. The garments reflected this last consequence and gave insight to the laws of fashion. The end.

From lederhosen to dirndl. From leather pants to leather shell bras. i guess I'll just have to accept the fact that I like leather in any context. Luckily I can compensate this with my appetite for art.

Suspended In Time

Photos Central Saint Martins, Joe Lally

Hussein Chalayan's suspender overknees for Fall/Winter 2009 left me speechless and obsessed. Fortunately, this detail is an eternal classic in a gentleman's wardrobe. Time for resurrection.

Hingabe

Hussein Chalayan Fall/Winter 2009

And now in full beauty. These shoes are to die for. I couldn't stop starring at them. It made me smile. This inner smile when you witness something extraordinary happen. A once in a lifetime loose your virginity feeling. An inner shivering that makes your head ache. And leaves you behind with exhausted satisfaction.

Hussein Chalayan: Amazing overknee leather strap boots, plastic corsets, cropped tuxedos, paper dresses, pure constructivism and perfection. I found love.
